Grey and Bruce counties catch the heaviest lake-effect snow in Southern Ontario. Squalls pick up moisture crossing the open Bay and drop it on the first high ground they meet, which is exactly where the campgrounds are. A seasonal unit wintering near Blue Mountain or Owen Sound can carry serious accumulated load for months, stressing seams, flattening vent covers, and pressing standing meltwater against every sealant line on the roof.
Spring is the reckoning. The melt runs for weeks, testing what winter weakened while owners are still in the city. This is why our fall message on the Bay never changes: the inspection you book in October is worth three you book in May. By May, we are triaging discoveries; in October, we are preventing them.

Local questions
My trailer winters under heavy snow near the Bay. What should I book?
A fall check before the snow and a spring inspection after the melt. Snow load stresses seams and flat spots, and the freeze-thaw cycle works on any sealant crack it finds. Catching those early is much cheaper than the alternative.
Why is spring booking so tight in this area?
Because the whole shore discovers its winter damage in the same three weeks. The melt finishes, owners return, and every campground from Wasaga to Sauble calls at once. Fall bookings skip the queue, and usually skip the damage too.
