This policy explains how Paul Barrow, a sole proprietor operating as RV Roof Seal and Ontario RV Repairs (“we”, “us”, “our”), handles personal information collected through https://rvroofseal.ca. We follow Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable Ontario privacy rules.

We are a mobile RV roof repair business based in Durham Region, serving Central and Southern Ontario. If you have any question about your privacy or this policy, or you want to see, correct, or delete information we hold about you, contact us:

2. What we collect

We only collect what you choose to send us. When you use the estimate form, call, text, or email, that can include:

• Your name and the contact details you give us (phone number, email address, preferred contact method);
• Details about your RV (year, make, model, type, length, roof type);
• The city or town where the RV is located and where it’s parked;
• A description of the problem you’re seeing;
• Insurance or claim details, only if you choose to share them;
• Photos you upload or send us;
• Whether you opted in to receive occasional maintenance emails.

We do not ask for or want payment card numbers, government ID numbers, or other sensitive identifiers through this website.

3. Why we collect it

We use your information only to:

• Reply to you and answer your questions;
• Prepare an estimate and, if you go ahead, schedule and carry out the work;
• Document the work with photos, for your records, resale, or your insurer;
• Keep normal business records (for example, accounting and tax);
• Send occasional RV roof care tips and seasonal reminders (only if you opted in).

We never sell or rent your personal information.

4. Consent

You give us your information voluntarily when you contact us, and by doing so you consent to us using it for the purposes above. Marketing emails are separate: we send them only if you checked the opt-in box, which is express consent under Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). You can withdraw marketing consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in any such email, or by emailing us at contact@rvroofseal.ca. Withdrawing marketing consent doesn’t affect our ability to reply about a repair you’ve asked us about.

5. Who we share it with

We keep your information within our business and share it only where necessary:

• Our hosting and email provider. The website and our email are hosted by a third-party provider (Hostinger). When you submit the form, your request is delivered to us by email and is stored in our mailbox. We don’t run a separate online customer database or accounts on this site.
• Your insurer or adjuster, only at your direction, when you’ve asked us to provide documentation for a claim.
• When required by law, for example in response to a valid legal request.

6. Cookies, analytics, and browser storage

We do not use advertising cookies, analytics, tracking pixels, or any cross-site tracking on this website. We don’t build a profile of you or follow you around the web.

The site does use two small, functional browser features that stay on your device:

• A theme preference (light or dark), remembered in your browser so the site looks the way you left it;
• A form draft, saved in your browser while you fill out the estimate form so a refresh doesn’t wipe your answers. It’s cleared once you submit.

Neither is sent to us or to anyone else. Your form answers reach us only when you press “Send my request.” You can clear both any time through your browser’s site-data controls.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes above and to meet legal, accounting, and record-keeping obligations, after which we delete or destroy it. If you’d like us to delete your information sooner, ask us and we’ll do so unless we’re required to keep it.

8. How we protect it

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. Email to and from the site is transmitted over encrypted (TLS) connections, and access to your details is limited to the people who need it to respond to you and do the work. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take your information seriously.

9. Your rights: access, correction, and deletion

You can ask us to:

• Tell you what personal information we hold about you and how we’ve used it;
• Correct anything that’s inaccurate or out of date;
• Delete your information (subject to any records we’re legally required to keep).

Email contact@rvroofseal.ca and we’ll respond within a reasonable time. There’s no charge for a reasonable request.

10. Children

This site and our services are meant for RV owners and are not directed at children. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date at the top. Please check back from time to time.
